rage
It's not that nothing has happened since Maya turned 4... Actually, that couldn't be anything further from reality. Honestly, the last few months have been tough - not just for the four of us, but for our whole family. There has been true struggle, sadness, growing pains and loss as so many of us have been stretched. Yet, our God continues to be faithful. He continues to show us how good he truly is.
We are thankful... so, so thankful.
Saturday night was fun. We had a family date with the Rage (I know you have NO idea what that is... I didn't either). It's our local hockey team. Paul and the kiddos introduced me to my first hockey game at the event center up the street (I think it's safe to assume that there were exactly two black folks in the crowd: me (1), Maya (1/2) and Cole (1/2)).
At first I was skeptical, but I actually had a great time. We all did.

Hockey... fun, FUN times. Who knew?!
(Please keep us in your prayers).

Chocolate chips make good cookies taste great! Ha ha!
I recently saw a 3 y/o in clinic who couldn't count to ten and his father was incarcerated, his mother didn't want custody of him and his father's girlfriend was his caretaker. I give constant praise and thanks for the little things and thank God that you and Paul are doing great. In each little way that you can, you're doing great. Thank God.
I am sorry to hear it's been a rough time. I'll keep you in my prayers. Grateful for your example of grace and gratitude. I hope things improve. Would love to talk with you if you have a chance.
Hello, I just thought I'd drop a line...just a while ago we got your X-mas letter from Steve's old roommate. I tried to send an email with our new address but it bounced back...but your blog works! I love all the pics! I think the only time I met you guys you had no kids at all! Crazy! Steve and I have been married for almost 2o years now, life is good but not always a lollipop. Check out our blog if you like.
